Why Independent Gyms Should Consider Teleseminars
Workout Magazine (UK) have been grilling me on the Jet-Set-GO! teleseminar series
And in particular why this might be of interest to independent gyms
Well here’s my take on this:
Independent gyms [IG] should compete according to their biggest strength – their individuality.
People are switching off to wild claims, mass advertising and over-manipulative or contrived brands.
The real competitive advantage of IG lies in the strength of their relationship with their membership.
You can’t copy or duplicate intangibles such as trust, credibility, innovation and care!
Teleseminars [TS] allow you to reach out, connect and engage once more with ALL your membership AND provide real value (which also happens to pre-sell and validate "your offerings") – cheaply and effectively.
We know members tire of clubs but remain loyal + motivated through the relationships they form with staff.
The most at-risk members are the ones who drop out and you can reach out to them and pull them back in again through TS.
Plus members are most motivated when they first join a club but this drops off over time.
TS means you can continue to motivate them over a much longer time period than just their initial induction.
Add an online (club) community and other members can inspire each other on your behalf!
It’s about employing technology to foster a many-to-many ongoing (two-way) dialogue, which is advantageous for all concerned.
It’s like any relationship – if you don’t talk and work things through - you drift apart!

Great Article.
When doing a skype/phone interview – how do I record it into my computer. That’s the bit I’m struggling with!
