The question “who am I” carries much power.
We should all ask ourselves this question on a regular basis.
Firstly it enables us to remain true to ourselves and on-course when faced with multiple daily choices and hurdles to overcome.
Secondly, and perhaps more importantly, it enables us to understand our unique value that we alone bring to any business transaction. Business is a confidence game, and the more you believe in yourself, the more others will believe in you too.
Thirdly, success is much more than about just $ and £ .. !
What Are Your Personal Assets?
There are multiple areas of personal wealth, including:
Knowledge: areas of study; areas of expertise, qualifications
Talent: natural talents and passions
Experience: things you have done, accomplished, overcome, work experiences
Character: your core values, beliefs, integrity
Community: positioning in the minds of other people and groups
Connection: sense of peace, higher purpose, comittment to an ideal
Financial: assets, investments, cash flow, current activities that are generating you income
Relationship: the key people in your life now
Health: energy level, lack of illnesses, body awareness, strength
In brief, we often underestimate ALL that we have to offer (and in turn what others have to offer in return).
Effective marketing demands both “value” and “visibility”, and a large part of our value proposition in a service business is derived from the “WHO am I”.
Take Action:
- For each area, where are you now?
- What is your specific objective in each area for the next three months?
- Ask yourself honestly: Is any particular area urgent right now?
