1.) Visibility – If you’re always seen and heard on Twitter, it can really increase your visibility.
Spend 10-20 min everyday by posting tweets and responding to the tweets you receive.
This is an excellent way of getting to know more people as part of “your virtual mastermind”.
Aim to follow a certain number of people every week and check which ones follow you back.
A good thing about Twitter is that you can reply from your mobile device should you wish.
2.) Powerful Profile – Make your page interesting, unique and powerful.
What does your profile say about you? Your personality? Your interests?
Post your true picture on Avatar, so others know you are for real.
Use a custom-designed background – 780 pixels x 1200 pixels – to stand out
A powerful profile attracts like-minded people. Say the right things and many will want to get to know you better.
3.) Twittering – share about your life and experiences.
When there are messages for you, try to answer them accordingly. When someone tweets you, thank him or her.
See Twitter as a billboard where you’re free to post anything that you want others to know. By using it often and wisely, you can enhance your presence.
Spread the news that you’re on Twitter (email messages, post blogs, websites).
Be active in using Twitter and in sending tweets regularly.
4.) Twitter Networking – Connect with your target market through Twitter Search (keywords) and befriend them.
Through Twitter, you can access useful feedback from them. You can easily listen to the needs of your prospects, the issues they are currently facing and the kind of help they want. This allows you to get to know your clients better and to win their trust and confidence.
Be helpful and try to limit self-promotion. Build relationships and follow-up by sending out invitations for tele-seminars and events.
5.) Twitter Direct Messages – unlike email, sending direct messages on Twitter means people get them (and generally read them!)
6.) Videos and photos – it is very important to share videos and photos through Twitter.
It establishes a more intimate relationship because others can get a better feel for you.
7) There are no rules to Twitter success! – I have 3 different accounts and apply 3 different strategies.
They would all appear “successful”. Just have “a plan” as otherwise it’s easy to waste a lot of time on non-productive activities!
