Remember: “Knowing and doing can be worlds apart”
There are numerous ebooks and courses on listbuilding, but before you feel the need to rush out and buy them all, a question I always ask my coaching clients is: Are you doing these 5 things?
1. Social networking
Who is still ignoring Facebook, Twitter and Linkedin?
Let me ask you:
How active are you?
How many friends do you have in there?
What does that say about you?
Hint: Do you know that you can start a group in Facebook with targeted prospects and start emailing them en masse? That’s essentially a new list for you.
2. Write and submit articles
This is still the number one method of driving taffic to your website but who is doing it weekly?
Submit your articles to ezinearticles and goarticles at the very least, with a bio or resource box that contains a link to a squeeze page that gives something valuabe away in exchange for people’s email address.
Have more than one offer or squeeze page depending on who you are targeting.
3. Record and submit videos
C’mon flip cameras make it easy.
This is something I learned from Dan Kennedy.
Follow this order:
Problem – Agitate – Solution – (Social) Proof – Call to Action
Be personable and authentic. Create a loyal community around your channel at You Tube before blasting your videos out everywhere else.
4. Squeeze page creation
Like in #2, have a report, an audio or something of value to give away, create a separate page for it and then promote it via pay per click, ezine advertising, press release, social networking, affiliates and joint ventures.
5. Create a system for doing 1 through 4 on a regular basis
Set aside at least an hour a week to be doing these things so you can get your list of prospects to a point where you can:
launch more digital products
grow your affiliate army
conduct teleseminars which convert
start a fixed-term membership site
…or any number of other profit creating / business building activities. The busier you are here (5), the more effective strategies 1-4 will prove.
Afterall, why spend time driving traffic to you if you have nothing special or relevant to offer them?!
Question: Are these your favourite traffic generating tools too? Or are you willing to share what has worked really well for you? Please comment!
