"Capturing Optins Through Compelling Blog Content and Copy"
A timely topic because many Coaches are quite rightly moving across from static webpages to blogs but there are pitfalls as well as obvious advantages.
Andy O' Bryan’s Top 10 Ingredients for a Website that Works
1. Headline
It must be there, on every page, to pull people into your site. "Welcome to my website" or the name of your services or company won't cut it.
2. Signup box
You have to capture email addresses and do it in a way that will make them want to sign up.
3. Features
What does your service offer people? Bullet points are great here.
4. Benefits
What are the takeaways and outcomes of working with you? Say it with feeling!
5. Emotional pull
What challenges brought people to your website and how do they feel about them? How will they feel when these challenges are resolved?
6. Unique selling proposition
What's special about your service over anyone else's?
7. Call to action
Ask for the sale, ask them to contact you.
8. Compelling reason to keep reading
Tease them with what's on the other pages.
9. Your qualifications
Establishing your credibility will make them feel more at ease about working with you.
10. Relevant keywords
What words are they plugging into the search engines to find you or someone like you? Make sure these are in the copy.
… AND do it all in a way that preserves your unique voice and core message!
