Contest Marketing is where you hold a contest so that your prospects and clients get more involved with you over a set period of time.
The before and after aspect generates photos, testimonials and extensive feedback on your program.
When you execute Contest Marketing well, you have:
1. Advocates: Instead of having you tell the world how good you are, you have a dozen “self-made” celebrity clients who prospects will listen to a lot more than you!
2. A mutual benefit: You build business relationships through participants achieving their goals
3. Loyalty: Challenges create mini-social networks which create a strong barrier to entry for your competitors. You grow winners!

4. Content: It’s possible to repurpose any content created integrating participant feedback and interaction into your program. How powerful is that!
5. Buzz: Other people find out and want to join in too. Your challenge go’s viral!
That’s just five reasons – I am sure you can think of more. But with the traditional product launch formula a little too predictable now, could contest marketing prove to be the next big thing?
